Taxonomy notes

name often spelt 'verreauxii' with two 'i's, but although the original description of the name had two 'i's, it was also an in an incorrect originally spelling, which was 'verroxii', and Grubb (2004) deemed 'verreauxi' with one 'i' as a justified emendation of the original spelling (both spellings were included in the original publication naming the species), thus the single 'i' spelling is used here as it matches the corrected original spelling, although both spellings are commonly used in the literature at this point
