Type locality
"pays des Turcomans [= country of the Turkmens]." Interpreted by D. R. Frost and colleagues in 1991 as "roughly equivalent to the Turkmen, Uzbek, Kazak, and Karakalpak regions of the [former] U.S.S.R." and by R. Hutterer in 2005 as "somewhere in S Kazakhstan."
