"Marabitanas." Corrected by A. von Pelzeln in 1883 to "Baraneiva" and clarified by D. C. Carter and P. G. Dolan in 1978 as "Bananeira (approximately 10°39'S, 65°23'W), on the Rio Mamore (there forming the boundary between Brazil and Bolivia), in the state of Mato Grosso."
