domestic form of L. vicugna, although there has been introgression between L. glama and L. pacos in the past, leading to confusion as to whether they came from L. guanicoe or L. vicugna; moved from Vicugna to Lama based on low genetic distance between the two genera; domestic form of L. vicugna and previously included under Lama glama, but now considered a separate species
