split from L. sibiricus and sometimes included under L. lemmus; includes portenkoi; this species has been recognized under the names ognevi and bungei as well, although ognevi is a junior synonym of novosibiricus and bungei was recently shown to be a synonym of L. sibiricus rather than a part of this species
